Octadecyl stearamide is a white waxy solid, with a medium smoothness, and lubrication and mold release effect, good thermal stability, can be used as engineering plastics lubricant and release agent processing aids, insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol, chloroform, ether, etc., the flash point of about 265 °C.
