Sulphur Olive Green BBK

Economical olive-green sulphur dye for cotton and other cellulose fibres — excellent wash fastness, deep shades achievable.

Sulphur Olive Green BBK is formulated to produce olive-green shades with strong wash fastness on cellulosic fibres. It gives economical depths with balanced levelling in recommended ranges. It performs well in typical sulphur dyeing processes (reduction, dyeing, oxidation) and is suitable for mass-coloration of yarns and fabrics.

Key Features

  • Deep olive-green shades with good leveling and penetration
  • Excellent wash fastness and satisfactory light fastness for sulphur dyes
  • Low cost-in-use — good for bulk production and basic shades
  • Available in powder / granulated forms to suit process handling

Recommended Applications

  • Cellulosic textiles: cotton yarns, fabrics, hosiery
  • Viscose & blended cellulosic goods
  • Industrial textiles where economical olive shades are required

Process Guidelines (General)

  • Pre-wash and scouring of fabric to remove sizing and oils.
  • Prepare reduced liquor (e.g., using Na₂S₂O₄ or proprietary reducing agents) to solubilize dye.
  • Dye at recommended temperature range (typically 80–95°C) with good liquor circulation.
  • Oxidize gently (air/bleach) to re-precipitate dye on fiber and improve fastness.
  • Rinse and neutralize; wash off unfixed dye thoroughly.

Note: Specific recipes, reduction time, and oxidizing method vary with equipment, shade depth and substrate. Always conduct lab trials and consult TDS/MDS for exact formulations.

Packing & Storage

Common packing: 25 kg kraft paper bags with inner PE liner; also 500 kg jumbo bags for bulk orders. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from strong oxidizers and moisture. Shelf life: typically 12–24 months under recommended storage conditions.

Safety & Handling

  • Use appropriate PPE: dust mask, gloves, goggles when handling powder.
  • Avoid inhalation of dust. Use local exhaust ventilation.
  • Refer to the MSDS for detailed safety, first aid and spill handling procedures.

Compatibility & Blending

Sulphur Olive Green BBK can be mixed with other sulphur dyes to modify tone; compatibility with reactive or vat dyes depends on the process. For cross-dyeing or matched shades, lab trials are necessary. Avoid mixing with strong oxidizing agents until after fixation/oxidation stage is complete.
