Why choose our Sulphur Blue 13?

  • Consistency batch-to-batch for predictable production runs.
  • Waste minimization guidance and practical reduction recipes.
  • Flexible packaging and export-ready documentation.

Mainly used for cotton, hemp, viscose and vinylon/cotton blended fabric dyeing, also can be used for leather and paper dyeing.

Typical Sulphur Dyeing Process (overview)

  • Reduction to leuco form: Reduce dye with an alkaline reducing agent (e.g., sodium hydrosulfite) under controlled conditions to form soluble leuco-sulphur.
  • Application: Pad or Exhaust the leuco solution onto cotton/viscose yarns or fabrics with recommended alkali level and liquor ratio.
  • Oxidation / Rinsing: Oxidize (air/bleach gently) to regenerate insoluble dye within fiber, then rinse until liquor is clear.
  • After-treatments: Soaping and mild oxidizing/neutralising steps to improve fastness and remove unfixed dye.

Note: Exact recipe and dosing depends on equipment and substrate. Our technical team can provide a mill-scale recipe.

Note: The data contained here are based on our current knowledge and experience. It is the responsibility of user to test our products before the final application.

Can Sulphur Blue 13 be used on polyester?

No — sulphur dyes are intended for cellulosic fibers (cotton, viscose). For polyester, use disperse dyes.

Do you offer wet fastness data?

Yes — we provide test reports on request. Typical wash fastness is good after proper soaping and oxidation.

Can you supply a sample?

Yes. Click "Inquiry Now" button get a quote and our sales team will arrange it.
