Solvent Red 27

Solvent Red 27 is a robust oil-soluble red dye used to color plastics, solvent-based inks and coatings, waxes, lubricants and petroleum products. It provides intense red shades and high tinting strength in non-aqueous formulations.

Key Features

  • Oil-soluble dye for non-aqueous systems (soluble in acetone, benzene, ethanol, etc.).
  • High color strength and vivid red shades — economical dosing.
  • Typical heat resistance around 140°C (grade-dependent).
  • Used for plastics, solvent inks, coatings, waxes and fuel marking.

Applications

  • Plastics: Masterbatch and direct coloring for PS, ABS, PVC, PMMA, etc.
  • Inks & Coatings: Solvent-based printing inks and coatings for deep red shades.
  • Petroleum & Fuels: Fuel marking and differentiation (follow local regs).

  • Waxes & Candles: Vivid coloration in paraffin and other wax systems.
