Rutile Titanium Dioxide R288

Titanium dioxide of rutile type R288 is a special type of titanium dioxide produced by the sulfuric acid method. It is a white powder with stable chemical properties.

It has undergone special surface treatment, including a ternary inorganic surface treatment of zirconium, silicon, and aluminum, as well as organic treatment coating.

It is a pigment with excellent whiteness, brightness, fineness, and glossiness. It has strong covering power and color-fixing ability, and possesses good weather resistance and dispersibility.

Applications:

Titanium dioxide R288 is a special type of titanium dioxide designed for plastic and steel applications. It is suitable for use in industries such as plastic (polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polystyrene, and polyurethane), rubber, and leather.

Safety and Storage:

Frequently Asked Questions

How to formulate

For best performance, follow recommended dispersion steps listed in the technical datasheet. Use suitable wetting agents and dispersants for high gloss or high-load formulations. Contact our technical team for custom pigment treatments.

Is R288 approved for food-contact applications?

Contact our regulatory team. Titanium dioxide approvals depend on regulations and final formulation—R288 is a pigment and must be evaluated in the end-use matrix.

What packaging options do you offer?

Standard 25 kg bags and 1200 kg FIBCs; custom packing and private-label are available on request.

Do you offer treated / surface-modified grades?

Yes — we can provide surface-treated R288 variants for improved dispersibility, alkaline resistance or specific resin compatibility. Contact sales for details.
