Light Stabilizer UV 123 also known as HALS 123,UV Absorber 123,Tinuvin 123.
Light Stabilizer UV 123 is a liquid amino ether group blocked amine photostabilizer, featuring low alkalinity, low migration, high thermal stability, and high photostability. It can avoid reacting with the acidic components of the coating, inhibiting the coating from losing gloss, changing color, cracking, and peeling. It is suitable for high-solid content, acid-catalyzed systems, and is particularly suitable for alkyd resins, acrylic esters, alkyd oxygen-curing paints, acrylic oxygen-curing paints, single-component thermosetting polyester color paints, and two-component non-isocyanate paints.
When used in combination with ultraviolet absorbers UV1130, UV571, and UV400, the photostabilizer UV123 significantly improves the durability of the coating. For automotive paints and industrial paints: it is recommended to add UV123 at 0.5-2%; UV1130 at 1-3%. For decorative paints and wood coatings: it is recommended to add UV123 alone at 0.5-2%; or add UV1130 at 1-3%.
