Light Stabilizer UV 1084 is a thiobisphenol nickel salt photostabilizer that possesses dual functions of photostabilizer and antioxidant. It can absorb ultraviolet rays ranging from 270 to 330 nanometers, with the absorption peak at 303 nanometers. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, resistance to extraction, low volatility, low migration, good chemical stability, and high color fastness. It has the function of dye auxochrome, enhancing color intensity and brightness.
It has the property of resisting acid erosion and protecting against acidic erosion from pesticides. It is suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene, especially for polyethylene films and polypropylene lawns processed at high temperatures. The general dosage is 0.1-0.5%.
Used in PE and PP agricultural films and tapes.
