What is Lead Oxide Red (Red Lead) used for?

Red Lead (Pb₃O₄) is primarily used as an anti-corrosive pigment in industrial primers and protective coatings for steel and infrastructure. It is also used in certain specialty ceramics and industrial processes. It is not intended for consumer paints or toys.

Is Red Lead safe to use?

Lead compounds are toxic. Safe handling requires dust control, PPE (respirator, gloves, protective clothing), and adherence to the SDS. Products should only be used by trained personnel in an industrial setting. Disposal must comply with local hazardous waste regulations.

Can you supply custom particle sizes or pre-dispersed grades?

Yes — we offer multiple particle size distributions and can provide pre-dispersed slurries or masterbatches on request. Contact our technical team with your formulation details for recommendations and trial samples.
