Iron Oxide Red 140 is a common iron oxide pigment used in developing building materials, paints, rubber, asphalt, sports racetracks, paper, plastic and others. Offering excellent light and temperature resistance, Iron Oxide Red 140 also offers strong color strength and good dispersion.
Paints & coatings (architectural, industrial), plastics & masterbatch, printing inks, colored concrete and pavers, ceramics and other general-purpose coloration tasks.
Disperse with standard high-shear mixing or extrusion processes. Pre-wetting or grinding in a carrier can improve dispersion in high-viscosity systems. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong acids. Follow safety datasheet for handling and PPE.

Iron Oxide Red 140 is an inorganic iron oxide pigment characterized by its specific shade, particle size distribution and processing profile. Compared with other iron oxide grades it may offer different tinting strength, dispersion behavior and heat stability — check the technical datasheet for exact differences.
Yes — when correctly formulated, Iron Oxide Red 140 provides excellent lightfastness and weather resistance common for iron oxide pigments, making it well-suited for exterior coatings. Final performance depends on the complete coating system and film thickness.
