Iron Oxide Orange 960

High-performance inorganic orange pigment — excellent tinting strength, long-term stability and manufacturer-direct pricing.

Iron Oxide Orange 960 mixed of iron oxide red and iron oxide yello, with good colour pigment properties, such as tinting strength, covering power is high.

Key benefits

  • High tinting strength & hiding power
  • Excellent dispersibility in common binders
  • Thermally stable in many processing conditions
  • Manufacturer-direct: flexible MOQ & samples

Typical applications

  • Architectural & industrial paints & coatings
  • Printing inks (solvent & water-based)
  • Plastics — masterbatches, pipes, profiles
  • Rubber, tiles, and colored concrete

Packaging & logistics

Standard packs: 20–25 kg kraft bag with PE liner, or bulk FIBC (500–1000 kg). Higher-value packaging and labeling for regulated markets available upon request. We can coordinate EXW / FOB / CIF shipping terms.

Safety & handling

Handle as industrial powder: avoid inhalation, use local extraction and PPE. Full SDS available on request—we provide required documentation for most export markets.

Color matching & dispersion tips (factory insights)

For best color consistency: pre-wet and pre-disperse pigments using high-shear mixers at controlled temperature. When converting to masterbatch, target dispersion energy to break aggregates without overgrinding. Ask us for suggested dispersant packages and lab dosing charts — we provide batch-specific advice for customers.

Note:The data contained here are based on our current knowledge and experience. It is the responsibility of user to test our products before the final application.

How can I get a sample and what is your MOQ?

We are a factory manufacturer — samples are provided quickly for evaluation. Typical sample sizes are 50–200 g. MOQ differs by pack and destination; we often support small starter orders for new customers. Contact us with destination and desired pack to get firm numbers.

Can you produce custom grades (particle size / surface treatment)?

Yes — we operate in-house micronization and surface-modification lines. Common customizations include hydrophobic/hydrophilic surface finishes, wet-dispersible grades and polymer-coated pigments for improved binder compatibility. Tell us your matrix (water, solvent, polymer) and processing temperature and we’ll propose a tailored grade.

What is the best way to disperse Iron Oxide Orange 960 in water-based paints?

Start with pre-wetting using a low-VOC wetting agent, then high-shear disperse at controlled speed to break aggregates. Avoid excessive milling that can change particle shape and affect sheen. We provide recommended dispersant types and lab recipes to accelerate customer trials.

Which compliance documents do you provide for exports?

We routinely provide SDS and COA. For most export requests we can supply heavy metal test reports, RoHS-style declarations and other commonly requested certificates; for regulated applications tell us the specific test or standard needed and we will arrange the appropriate testing or documentation.

How do you ensure color consistency between batches?

Our process uses controlled calcination, strict feedstock selection and in-process color monitoring with spectrophotometers. For critical projects we support batch traceability and can include production lot IDs on packaging so you can match in-line production with the pigment lot.
