Premium cationic black dye optimized for deep shades, uniform exhaustion and consistent performance across batch and continuous processes.
Cationic Black X-RL is formulated to produce intense, balanced black shades with superior affinity for acrylic fibers and reliable performance on protein fibers (wool, silk) and certain polyamide blends. Its molecular design minimizes dye migration and ensures even leveling on both yarn and fabric runs — reducing rework and improving throughput.
Why choose X-RL?
- Deep, neutral blacks with high tinting strength.
- High exhaustion on acrylics — low residual liquor concentration.
- Stable performance in padded, exhaust and continuous dyeing processes.
- Available in liquid and powder forms for production flexibility.
- Technical support for recipe tuning and scale-up.
Applications
Mainly used for acrylic and acrylic blends fabric dyeing, also for modified polyester, and paper dyeing.
Available Forms
- Standard Liquid (30–50% active)
- Concentrated Liquid (50–70% active) — custom orders
- Water-dispersible Powder
Typical performance highlights
- Exhaustion: high on acrylic at recommended pH and temperature.
- Washing fastness: excellent when aftertreated with recommended fixatives.
- Migration: controlled; suitable for piece & yarn dyeing.
Sample exhaust dyeing recipe (acrylic knit — lab scale)
- Prepare yarn at L:R = 1:20. Wet-out at 40°C.
- Adjust bath to pH 5.5 with acetic acid.
- Add Cationic Black X-RL (liquid) at 1.0–2.5% o.w.f depending on desired depth.
- Raise temperature to 90°C over 30 min; hold 30–45 min.
- Cool to 40°C, rinse, neutralize if required, then dry.
