Basic Brown 1

Basic Brown 1is in concentrated sulfuric acid and becomes red red after dilution. In concentrated nitric acid, orange solution turns yellow. Dye solution in aqueous solution with hydrochloric acid has no change, and 10% sodium hydroxide has orange precipitation. Cotton dyed with tannin mordant is brown, slightly red under tungsten filament light.
