Aqueous ink fluorescent pigment

Aqueous ink fluorescent pigment are a family of environmental friendly liquid pigments launched by the company. They offer superfine particle size, intense fluorescence, and good dispersibility. According to the SGS test report, there are not formaldehyde, heavy metals, APEO and any of the 24 aromatic amines prohibited, enabling the compliance with EU environmental requirements.

Key Features

  • High fluorescence & excellent wet-state brightness
  • Optimized particle size for aqueous ink systems (D50 < 1 µm when milled)
  • Good dispersibility with common dispersants; stable colloidal suspension
  • Compatible with pigment-based waterborne inks and pigment concentrates
  • Low VOC and formulated for environmental water-based systems

Formulation & Handling Notes

  • Pre-disperse solids using high-shear mixer or bead mill; add dispersant gradually to avoid flocculation.
  • Target final pigment concentration based on ink system; do bench trials to optimize viscosity and surface tension.
  • Heat and pH sensitivity: avoid excessive alkaline conditions; keep storage temperatures stable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I integrate this pigment into my aqueous inkjet system?

Start with a small lab-scale dispersion: pre-wet pigment with recommended dispersant, use a bead mill to reach          D50 < 1 µm, then adjust binder, humectant and surfactant levels to match your ink's rheology and drying profile.

Is this pigment suitable for outdoor signage?

Fluorescent pigments typically have moderate outdoor lightfastness; for prolonged outdoor use, pair with UV-stable topcoats          or consider pigment + dye hybrid systems and test under accelerated weathering.

What safety precautions are required?

Use standard PPE (gloves, goggles, dust mask when handling powder). Refer to the SDS for detailed handling, storage, and disposal.
