Anatase Titanium Dioxide B101(for PVC)

B101 is is white powder, with stable chemical properties. After being specially coated with silicon and aluminum on the surface, and undergoing ultra-fine grinding again, its particle size reaches the micron level, resulting in higher whiteness, better brightness, better luster, stronger covering power, stronger color removal ability, and excellent dispersibility. B101 is a special type of titanium dioxide specifically for PVC.

Main features

  • Superior opacity & whiteness for bright PVC finishes.
  • Surface-treated for improved dispersion and reduced oil absorption.
  • Enhanced UV stability — suitable for exterior PVC profiles.
  • Compatible with PVC masterbatch processing and extrusion lines.

Why choose this grade for PVC?

  • Higher hiding power: B101 TiO₂ has a higher refractive index and better light-scattering than anatase, delivering superior opacity for PVC finishes.
  • Easy color formulation: Neutral undertone grades simplify tinting and color matching in masterbatch production.‍

Applications:

Rigid PVC profiles & window frames, PVC pipes, siding, extrusion profiles, PVC masterbatch concentrates for white & pigmented compounds.

Safety and Storage:

Good industrial hygiene practices must be applied and dust must be avoided.

This product should not be stored outdoors or exposed to extreme temperatures or moisture. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to use the product following the first-in-first-out principle after receiving the goods.

Processing & dosing guidance

For white PVC masterbatch, TiO₂ is typically incorporated at concentrated levels in masterbatch (see supplier guidance). For final compound loadings, follow your formulation targets — many polymer/commercial references list allowable loading ranges and masterbatch concentration practices.

  • Use high-shear dispersion for uniform pigment wetting.
  • Adjust lubricant and dispersing agents to avoid agglomeration in extrusion.
  • Test weathering (QUV / outdoor exposure) for critical exterior parts.

FAQ

Q: Should I use rutile or anatase TiO₂ for PVC?

A: For rigid and exterior PVC applications, rutile grades are generally preferred due to superior opacity and weatherability. For niche photocatalytic uses anatase may be used, but not typical for PVC exterior products.

Q: What TiO₂ loading is typical in masterbatch for PVC?

A: Masterbatch concentrates often contain high TiO₂ concentrations (examples: 50–80% in masterbatch carriers) while final compound loadings depend on the product (follow supplier recommendations).

Q: How does surface treatment affect performance?

A: Surface treatments (e.g., silica, alumina, zirconia, organic coatings) improve pigment dispersion, reduce interaction with stabilizers and enhance weathering — choose the treatment matched to your processing and end-use.
