Iron Oxide Green Pigment

High-opacity, weather-fast iron oxide green for paints, coatings & concrete. ISO-tested, REACH-ready. MOQ: 1 kg

Why choose our Iron Oxide Green

Manufactured under controlled oxidation and micronization, Our iron oxide green pigment offers consistent color batch-to-batch, low heavy-metal profile, and strong weatherfastness. Our in-house QA and third-party lab testing ensure each lot meets the published TDS.

Applications & recommended loading

Coatings & Paints

Typical loading: 2–8% by weight depending on opacity required. For exterior coatings, use with UV-stable binders — our pigments show excellent chalk resistance.

Concrete & Paving

Dosage: 2–6 kg per m³ (depends on desired saturation). See coverage calculator below.

Dispersion & processing guide (short)

Wet-milling with ceramic media to D50<1 μm gives best tinting strength. Recommended dispersants: polycarboxylate-based for concrete, non-ionic polymeric dispersants for aqueous coatings, and surface treatment for thermoplastics. Avoid over-shearing in high-viscosity systems.

FAQ

What is Iron Oxide Green and how is it produced?

Iron oxide green is produced via controlled oxidation and blending of iron oxide phases to produce a stable inorganic green pigment with excellent weather resistance and heat stability.

Which grades are best for exterior coatings vs plastics?

Fine particle-size, high tint-strength grades suit coatings; chemically-treated, more dispersible grades are preferred in plastics/masterbatch for lower dust and improved incorporation.

How much do I need for colored concrete?

Typical dosing is 2–6 kg per m³. Use our coverage calculator to estimate your exact requirement based on color strength and mix design.

Is iron oxide green safe for food contact?

Most industrial iron oxide pigments are not certified for direct food contact. If you require food-grade or cosmetic-safe pigments, request specific test reports and certifications before use.
