High tinting power for rich, consistent black at lower loadings.
Stable performance under accelerated UV and outdoor exposure tests.
Micronized particle size for faster wetting and uniform dispersion.
Heavy-metal controls, batch traceability and compliance available on request.
Iron Oxide Black (Mars Black) — a micronized inorganic pigment engineered for formulators requiring deep black, high opacity and reliable weather resistance. Suitable for solvent- and water-based coatings, plastics & masterbatch, concrete pigmentation and printing inks.
For best results: pre-wet pigment in the carrier, use high-shear or bead milling for final dispersion. Typical loading ranges: 0.5–3.0% wt in coatings and inks; 1–4% wt in plastics (depending on shade).
Pre-wet then high-shear disperse (bead mill) to Hegman target; use recommended dispersant at 0.5–2.0% wt.
Micronized grades generally show higher tinting strength and faster opacity development — validate with small formulation trials and shade charts.
Some inorganic blacks are suitable; contact our tech team for INCI, purity, and batch-specific testing certificates.
