AC Pigment Chips — Custom Shades, Fast Samples & Precision Color Matching
Product Overview
AC Pigment Chips use acrylic resin binders that provide excellent weatherability, color retention, and long-term durability, making them ideal for outdoor and decorative coating applications.
Key Applications
- Architectural Coatings: Exterior wall paints, façade coatings, decorative finishes
- Outdoor Metal Coatings: Railings, metal furniture, machinery housings
- Protective Industrial Coatings: Outdoor industrial equipment, storage tanks
Performance Summary
- Advantages: Outstanding weather resistance, excellent color stability, and long-term durability, especially in outdoor environments.
- Limitations: Slower drying speed and moderate production cost compared to NC systems.
Usage Guidelines
- 1. Reserve 10-20% solvent or water so that it can be added to adjust the viscosity
- after the pigment chips are dissolved;
- 2. Mix the solvent first, then add the pigment chips while stirring;
- 3. Slowly adjust the mixer to 2000rpm/min. When most of the pigment chips are dissolved, stop the machine and scrape the pigment chips attached to the barrel wall, stirring plate and bottom of the barrel into the pigment chips, then start stirring until all the pigments are dissolved. Pigment chips are completely dissolved;
- 4. After the pigment chips are completely dissolved, make up for the evaporated solvent and add the 10-20% solvent or water left before, mix evenly to make a color paste;
- 5. It is recommended to quickly pass the color paste through the sand mill to achieve better results. It can also be used directly according to the usage requirements;
- 6. You can also use pigment chips directly added to the ink formula for direct use.
The manufacturing process is basically the same as above.
Storage and use of pigment chips
The storage temperature should be 5℃-30℃, avoid high temperature and direct sunlight, and should be used within 12 months if conditions permit.
